Pitkän välivuoden jälkeen SKOn sitsivuosi päättyy jälleen perinteisesti uudenvuoden aattona klo 14:20, jolloin YLE TV1 perinteisesti lähettää saksalaisen, vuonna 1963 ensi kertaa esitetyn, lyhytelokuvan “Illallinen yhdelle”. Tälle 18-minuuttiselle illalliselle pääsee mukaan Yo-talo B:n Osakuntasalissa, jonne on luotu videoyhteys Miss Sophien ruokasaliin sekä katettu pöytä osakuntalaisille juhlavieraille. Sitsien seremoniamestarina toimii jälleen 90-vuotias Miss Sophie ja apuisäntänä hovimestari James. Sitsaajien tehtävänä onkin sitten vain yrittää pysytellä Jamesin kyydissä mukana.
Sitsimenuun sisältyy:
-annos sherryä,
-annos valkoviiniä,
-annos kuohuviiniä sekä
-annos portviiniä.
Menu on siis lihaton, munaton, kalaton ja täysin alkoholillinen. Sitsien osallistumismaksu on 11 € SKOn civiksille, 12 € SKOn beaaneille ja 15 € muille. Alkoholiton vaihtoehto kustantaa 5 € kaikille vieraille. Ilmoittautuminen tapahtuu alla olevalla lomakkeella. Ilmoittautuminen aukeaa 12.12.2019 klo 21.00 ja sulkeutuu 29.12.2019 klo 23.59. Perussitsimenun päälle voi myös tilata 1-3 santsimenua eli Tupla-Jamesin, Tripla-Jamesin tai jopa Täysi-Jamesin, johon sisältyy neljä annosta kutakin juomaa. Yhden santsimenun hinta on 7 €, jolloin SKOn civikselle Täysi-Jamesin hinnaksi muodostuu 32 €.
**Santsimenujen nauttiminen sitsien aikana ei ole terveellistä, joten harkitsehan tarkkaan kykeneväisyyttäsi suoritukseen. Ennen tai jälkeen sitsien on myös suositeltavaa nauttia kiinteän ravinnon aterioita.**
Paikkoja on sitseille yhteensä 30, joista 6 on hovimestarin pestejä. Halutessasi voit siis ilmoittaa itsesi juomankaatajaksi Jamesin housuihin, mikä tarkoittaa lievästi sanoen todella kiireistä 18 minuutin juoksusessiota. Juoksemisesta palkkiona on 5 €:n alennus osallistumismaksuun.
Pukeutumisen on oltava syntymäpäivän (ja uudenvuoden) kunniaksi totta kai juhlallista. Muuhun illallisetikettiin kannattaa perehtyä esimerkiksi Wikipedian osoitteessa: http://fi.wikipedia.org/wiki/Illallinen_yhdelle . Paikalla tulee olla mielellään viimeistään 14:00, koska myöhästyminen olisi kohtalokasta. Sitsit voisivat helposti mennä kokonaan sivu suun.

The same procedure as every year, James!
After a long leap year, SKO’s sitz year will once again conclude traditionally on New Year’s Eve at 14:20 as YLE TV1 broadcasts the German short film “Dinner for One”, which was initially aired already in 1963. This 18-minute dinner will be served at Osakuntasali in Student House B where a live video link has been set up in order to offer the guests a visual contact to the hostess of the birthday dinner, Miss Sophie, who is turning 90, yet again. Her butler James will be handling the kitchen and tending the guests. You are to keep up with them.
The sitz menu includes:
-a portion of sherry,
-a portion of white wine,
-a portion of sparkling wine and
-a portion of port wine.
Hence, the menu is fully alcoholic. The attendance fee is 11 € for SKO’s civis members, 12 € for SKO’s freshman members and 15 € for others. A non-alcoholic menu is worth 5 € for everyone. The enrollment form below is open from December 12th (at 21:00) till December 29th (23.59). On top of the basic menu it is possible to order 1-3 additional menus, that is, Double James, Triple James or even Full James, which includes four portions of each of the above listed beverages. One additional sitz menu is worth 7 €, which, for a SKO civis member, results in a 32 € price for a Full James menu.
**Enjoying additional sitz menus is not healthy, which is why we insist that you carefully consider your capabilities to handle them. It is also highly recommendable to eat properly before and after the sitz.**
There are 30 available seats in the room, 6 of which are for butlers. Therefore, the guests may also adopt the role of James, which will mean a busy 18 minutes of running and pouring drinks. A 5 € discount for the attendance fee is offered for everyone who act as the butler.
